Talking Employer Brand
We talked briefly to Ben Gledhill, former Talent Acquisition Manager at Sofology and now responsible for Employer Branding and the Candidate Experience at The Metropolitan University, about his thoughts and views on Employer Brand touch-points and the candidate experience.
Where does your Employer Brand start and end? When someone joins a business? Wrong.
Remember, your Employer Brand will always either encourage a positive or negative emotion so taking that into consideration your Employer Brand will always follow the whole life-cycle of an employee. From the first minute they hear about your organisation, to their candidate experience, how many internal comms messages they read right up to whether they join the organisation alumni after a successful and fulfilling career with your organisation.
Their connection with your Employer Brand can be measured right along the employee life-cycle with the performance data that you measure giving you a true reflection of whether they have bought into your Employer Brand and built that all important emotional connection. Obviously there are many other touch-points with their relevant measures too, however this employer brand touch-points graphic hopefully helps to illustrates just some of the many different ways that a person can interact with the employer proposition that your organisation is offering in terms of a recruitment strategy as well as the candidate and employee experience.
